Project Overview
A kitchen fire that spread to the surrounds areas of the Gold Coast RSL club was a project for the owners and their insurer that would involve many areas of Ferm Engineering’s design team expertise. 3D modelling of the existing structure was created to assist in the formation of air conditioning and architectural repairs. The level of documentation was not available, so site measures and reverse engineering of the systems were necessary.
The full fire systems, air-conditioning and kitchen hood rebuilding program was developed with ICPs and Advanced Buildings. A modernisation approach was part of the RSL’s requirements, so older systems were integrated with the new to improve the services and performance in the facility.
