Bulk fuel facility under construction
Ferm has started work on a major high-hazard facility under construction in the Northern Territory.
The bulk fuel facility and ancillary infrastructure to transfer and store jet fuel at East Arm, Darwin, is managed by Crowley Australia and being built by Latitude 63, a specialist in bulk fuel facilities.
Ferm is conducting risk assessments and performance solutions for fire systems and preparing electrical designs for the 11-tank facility, known as Project Caymus. Ferm is working in conjunction with Endfire Engineering on the massive project.
The first stage is scheduled to be operational early in 2024. The $270 million project will service US defence operations in the region.
