Ferm expertise in demand at construction summit
Ferm CEO Steve Burton was selected as chair of a panel session at the Safe Buildings and Defects Management Summit 2020 in Brisbane on 26-28 February, following his strong stance on construction industry problems.
Steve’s commentary in media, newsletters and statutory submissions demonstrates his concern about some of the summit agenda items, including building regulations, defects management, insurance claims, fire safety, and cladding and façade solutions.
As panel chair, Steve coordinated discussions, the outcomes of which will be presented to Qld Housing and Public Works Minister Mick de Brenni, regulators and industry organisations as advisory recommendations developed by summit participants.
Participants included industry leaders, representatives from the Qld Building & Construction Commission, Qld Fire & Emergency Services, and the Master Builders’ Association, TAFE Qld educators, and industry advisers, architects and fire engineers, including Ferm’s Wayne Blake.
Ferm will monitor outcomes from the event and communicate responses and actions in eNewsletters.
Remember, Ferm experts are always available as advisers or key speakers at events.
