Project Overview

The Novotel Hotel beside the Airport Retail precinct was a landmark project for Brisbane Airport Corporation as their first on site accommodation project. The triangular atrium is unique in Australian architecture and a specialist fire safety design developed by Ferm Engineering, from years in Atria research and modelling.

The result is a stunning visual aspect, protected by a natural smoke vent, opening roof and integrated air handling design that outperforms any DtS atria system. The ability to integrate Mechanical, Smoke Detection, Fire Protection, Building elements and automation systems demonstrate the commitment and innovation and vision our staff can offer in construction.

In addition, we conducted the full-scale hot smoke tests to prove the systems with Air Services Australia and Philip Chun Certification.
